AGID CANADA is pleased to announce the shipment of a large consignment to Uganda . Following an earlier large shipment to the east African country, a new and larger delivery is in the works, with dispatch of nine pallets (193 boxes) of books and journals in the last week of September. The shipment includes material for three Ugandan institutions of higher learning, with the following specialities:

* Makerere University - geology.
* Kyambogo University - engineering.
* Uganda Martyrs University - Canadian literature.

With this latest large delivery, the residual holdings of the AGID CANADA project as of 08 October 2008 are roughly one-third of the amount of books and journals in stock four years ago. The wrap-up of the long-running book distribution program is anticipated in the next few months.
